Each year, the PAAM Members’ Open Small Works exhibition during the holiday season is an opportunity for shoppers to bring home a piece of original artwork created by a local artist. Unlike other exhibitions, buyers can bring their new piece home with them upon purchase, instead of waiting for the conclusion of the exhibition. I'm very pleased that my oil painting Sunlit Lilies was juried into the Cape Cod Art Center's Autumn National exhibit, a nation-wide open call show! Thank you to the jurors of selection Cate Hunter Kashem, Kat O’Connor, and Allie Richards. The show runs October 20 - November 14 at the Center's galleries, 3480 Route 6A, Barnstable, MA. These beautiful lilies outside of Blackfish Bistro in Truro, MA caught my eye on an early evening in late July. The way the low sunlight played across the leaves and petals was just gorgeous! Two pastels of mine, Flip and Turn and Breaking Free, will be available at a special pop-up art show and sale at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. I'm honored that two pastels of mine, Red Chair and Carnival!, have been selected to be part of the Salmagundi Club 155th annual fall auction. This live auction will be divided into two evenings: a session on Thursday, October 16, and another on Thursday, October 23, both at 7:30 PM. An early sneak peak of the auction works in the Skylight Gallery begins Tuesday, September 30.   Those who cannot be there in-person will have the option of registering their bids via the online LiveAuctioneers platform. I'm honored that juror Sally Munson Bohman, from the Munson Gallery, awarded Water Doodle an Honorable Mention in the Creative Art Center exhibit Summer Show.
